The results of the Redontap Project will create the IP (Intellectual Property) required to create a device which will generate red blood cells from adult stem cells at a commercially-viable scale, which will be free from risk of infectious diseases, and perfectly matched with the donor. Using this technology, it would be possible to create blood for patients with very rare blood types.
